March 2026 Practice Challenge
Join the annual BAMA practicing challenge open to our students of all ages! We award medals to participants who practice 10, 20, and 30 consecutive days. Additionally, a personalized medal will be awarded to the gold medal student who practices the most minutes. All participants will be recognized at our concert on May 9, 2026:
10 days– bronze medal🥉
20 days– silver medal🥈
30 days– gold medal🥇
*Extra Challenge: any student who practices 100 consecutive days at any point during the year will be awarded a trophy at the next school concert. Ask your teacher about entering the 100 days challenge! Download your 30 or 100 day practice charts here!
Honors Recital Auditions 2026
This year’s honors recital is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 6:30 PM. We have introduced an audition process to ensure the student selection process is fair. To perform on this year’s honors recital, students must submit a video audition. Honors recital video submission process:
Piece must be memorized
Record the piece and submit your video audition by April 3, 2026 at 10 PM.
If selected, students will perform the same piece they recorded at the recital.
Students of all ages and skill levels may apply; however, only one hour of music will be chosen by an anonymous judging panel.
If the piece includes piano accompaniment, it must be performed at the recital with accompaniment. (but not for the video). BAMA can provide an accompanist for the recital for a $50 fee which includes one rehearsal with the accompanist and the performance.

Scholarship Application
Thanks to the generosity of our donors, BAMA offers annual need-based scholarships to help make music education accessible to all children. Awards may be full or partial and can include instrument loans. Scholarships are open to the public, with recipients selected by our board committee based on financial need and musical aptitude.
