Thank you to our generous friends of BAMA, foundation supporters, and corporate partners who made 2023 a year of exceptional growth for Brooklyn Arts Music Academy. In 2023 we:

• Taught free, weekly Music is Life! classes to 450 New Hanover County preschool children

• Expanded full tuition scholarships to cover 10% of our student body

• Brought free Music is Life! classes to the Soaring as Eagles Jump Start Pre-K program

• Started over 30 new students of all ages in individual music lessons

• Brought 3 new teachers onto our teaching staff

• Presented free, public student and teacher performances across Wilmington in coordination with organizations and venues including Wilson Center, Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, St. James Episcopal Church, Chamber Music Wilmington, Tallis Chamber Orchestra, Snipes Academy, Mary W. Howe Pre-K, Dorothy B. Johnson Pre-K, Cameron Art Museum, New Hanover County Library, and Children’s Museum of Wilmington

• Supported the creation of new works of art by commissioning a piece for the Brierwood Ensemble by Fayetteville composer, Dr. Daniel McCloud entitled “Moonbow”
